Warwick Fire Fighters Soccer had 14 teams playing in tournaments over Memorial Day weekend with one locally at Coventry, one in the New England Premier tournament, and 12 teams in the Amherst, N.H., Memorial Day Classic.
The U12 girls coached by Mike Puglia won the championship at the New England Premier tournament. Four teams at the Amherst tournament out of the seven older teams eligible for the playoffs made it to the championship game with the U12 Boys coached by Bill Cocroft and the U14 Girls coached by Bob Enright winning their championship games. The U16 girls coached by Bob Enright and the U19 boys coached by Mike Silvestre finished as runner-ups.
