A week after tying Woonsocket, the Warwick Vets hockey team faced two tougher challenges this past weekend and couldn’t keep the momentum going. Vets lost to second-place Tolman 10-1 on Friday night. On Saturday, the ’Canes battled Cranston East to a 3-0 score after two periods before the ’Bolts broke through for four goals in the third period on their way to a 7-0 win. Vets goalie John McNally was a bright spot in the loss, making 38 saves, including several from close range. Vets will be back in action Saturday with a 9 p.m. game against Ponaganset at Thayer Arena. On Sunday, Vets will play Cranston East again at 8:30 p.m. at Thayer in the Andrew J. Gauthier Hockey Festival.
