Timothy L. Torres, PV2, United States Army died January 29, 2013.
He was the beloved son of Emanuel A. and Ana I. (Lima) Torres. Timothy graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in 2011 and worked at RI Hospital before joining the United States Army. He wanted to serve his country and had committed to 8 years of service. He completed his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and Jump School at Ft. Benning, Georgia with his goal of completing HALO (High Altitude, Low Oxygen). He was assigned to Bravo Company, 169th Engineer Battalion and was scheduled to be stationed at Ft. Richardson, Alaska.
He was the loving brother of Kiana Lynn Torres. He was the grandson of Manuel and Mariana (Cabral) Torres of Providence and Adelino and Maria E. (Peixoto) Lima of West Warwick; and nephew of Rosa M. Lima, Matthew and Sonia Tonning, Paul Torres and Emerald Seco.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, February 5, at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane.
