After two straight victories in mid-February, the Toll Gate girls’ basketball team lost its next three games, and the slide continued Tuesday night against one of the top teams in Division II. Coventry beat the Titans 48-29 to improve to 14-1 in league play and clinch the Division II-South regular season title. Julie Jadach scored 15 to lead the Oakers, while Hannah McNulty’s nine points led the Titans. Laura McGuire and Laurel TenEyck chipped in four each.

Toll Gate, which is now 3-12 in league play, has one game remaining in the regular season. The Titans will host Prout tonight at 7 p.m. (Warwick Beacon photos by Jerry Silberman / risportsphoto.com)
