The Warwick Beacon Game of the Week is Toll Gate girls’ soccer against Bay View at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Warwick City Park.
The Titans, who moved up to Division I this season after claiming the Division II crown last fall, dropped their season opener at Lincoln, 5-4, on Friday despite getting three goals from All-State striker Hannah McNulty.
However, Friday’s matchup with the Bengals should present the Titans with a prime opportunity to grab their first D-I victory.
Bay View finished just 1-11-4 last season and dropped its opener to La Salle 9-1.
Besides McNulty, Toll Gate’s roster boasts several key contributors from last season’s title team, namely midfielders McKenna Leahy, Marisa Giard and Lily Fortin, forward Emma Seidenberg, defenders Julia Grossi and Karla Wolstenholme and keeper Ani Armenakyan.
