Two police officers were recognized in a brief ceremony Wednesday night at Warwick Police Headquarters, as they earned promotions. John J. McAniff III was promoted to the rank of sergeant, while Joseph A. Petrarca was elevated to detective. McAniff’s wife of more than a year, Jessica, attended the event with their first child, John James McAniff IV, who is just a few months old.
