Hosted by Bob Venturini in memory of his father, the telethon was held Tuesday night at the Warwick Mall Food Court. By early in the evening, more than 8,000 toys had been collected. Among those dropping off toys – in this case more than 800 of them – were David Gravino and Chris Ciscelli of Iggy’s. Gravino said Iggy’s restaurants would continue to offer a free bowl of chowder with three clamcakes and a small drink to those dropping off a new toy. The goal is collect 1,400 toys by Dec. 22. Joining Gravino and Ciselli on stage are MSgt. Zabo and Venturini. And lined up to make their gifts from left are: Korean War Association Chapter 3 members Norman Paiva, Frank Meo and Gilbert Botelho. (Warwick Beacon photos)
