Tyrone “Ty” Gingrich, 75, of Warwick died May 19, 2014 surrounded in love by family and friends. He leaves his beloved wife, Nancy and family, Jason, Diana, Bradin, Korbin, and Callie. He was pre-deceased by his late wife, Pamela. He also leaves family and friends in central Pennsylvania.

His most recent employment was at Inskip AutoMall, but he also spent many years doing environmental remediation and hazardous waste removal. Before moving to Rhode Island he owned a dairy farm in Dillsburg, Penn., and drove long distance for various trucking companies. He was proud to be a United States Marine. He enjoyed reliving his stockcar days by mentoring a young driver at Seekonk Speedway. He also was a faithful worker at Epiphany Soup Kitchen located at his church.

Requiem will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 114 George St., Providence, on Friday, May 30.

In lieu of flowers, Ty wished donations to Epiphany Soup Kitchen, Attn: John Lawler, 405 Juniper St, East Providence, RI 02914 or the Special Music Fund, St. Stephen’s Church, 114 George St, Providence, RI 02906.
