Cox Communications and URI Athletics teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Warwick to bring a basketball clinic to the club’s summer camp on Thursday. Seven members of the URI basketball team, including former Hendricken star Billy Baron, made their way to the Masonic Youth Grounds in Warwick and showed off their skills to nearly 100 campers. URI Director of Basketball Operations Dan Szramowski ran the clinic and spoke to campers about a host of subjects, from the rigors of college basketball to the importance of hard work and the value of an education. The players then demonstrated some of the drills they run in practice before the campers took to the court to show their own stuff.
