URI Master Gardeners offer Wednesday evening series at library

URI Master Gardeners Pat Davis, Mary Mason and Lee Menard will offer tips and techniques on how to be a better and more successful gardener on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the Warwick Public Library.

On March 27 learn about garden tools. See a demonstration by tool gurus Mary and Pat on how to properly care for a variety of tools.

On April 3, learn about vegetable gardening. Discover how to grow delicious vegetables, and take home bean and pea starter kits for your garden.

On April 10, find out about perennials. Learn how to create a garden that will come back every year, and take home bulbs for your flower garden.

On April 17, discover how to identify and control weeds. Knowing the weeds in your yard will tell you a lot about your soil and growing conditions.

The URI Master Gardener Program has taught the latest and best gardening practices to gardeners across Rhode Island since 1977.

Register online at warwicklibrary.org or call 739-5440, x4. For more information, call x221. The Library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
