This year, the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Library and Information Studies celebrated its 50th Anniversary. In recognition of this milestone, the URI College of Arts and Sciences and the Harrington School of Communication and Media honored select alumni as recipients of the graduate school’s “50 for 50” Alumni Award for their service to the profession.
Of the 50 alumni chosen, the following five were selected for outstanding leadership, innovation and contributions to the profession: E. Gale Eaton ’74, Wakefield, Edward Garcia ’08, Cranston, Nancy Kline ’73, Bloomfield, Conn., Janice McPeak ’00, Rockville, Md., Frederick Stielow ’81, Annapolis, Md.
Warwick honorees are Cheryl Banick ‘93, Mark Caprio ‘01, Alexander Caracuzzo ‘92 and Darshell Silva ‘01.
