April 3: Fitness Fridays - Haltha Yoga at 12:15pm (BCBSRI members only) 

This class will energize and awaken your mind, body, and spirit. Focuses on movements with the integration of breath and awareness to release energy, create calm and strengthen the core. In addition, this practice reduces stress and anxiety, increases flexibility, and promotes overall relaxation. Members are required to bring their own mat.

April 7: Diabetes Prevention at 11 a.m. (BCBSRI members only)

This program will provide information of recommended preventative screenings, blood glucose goals, and meal planning. Seminar participants will be provided information about the importance of physical activity to achieve optimal blood glucose management.

April 10: Fitness Fridays - Haltha Yoga at 12:15pm (BCBSRI members only)

This class will energize and awaken your mind, body and spirit. Focuses on movements with the integration of breath and awareness to release energy, create calm and strengthen the core. In addition, this practice reduces stress and anxiety, increases flexibility, and promotes overall relaxation. Members are required to bring their own mat.

April 14: Healthy Meal Planning on a Budget at 11 a.m. (BCBSRI members only)

This seminar covers a four-step method that can simplify the meal planning process and help you save time and money. Learn how to plan and prepare easy and healthy meals for a crowd or just yourself. 

April 15: Understanding Your Pharmacy Benefits - Pharmacy 101 at 2 p.m. (BCBSRI members only)

Bascis of prescription drug coverage - vocabulary, benefits and how to better use your plan.

April 21: Maximizing Your Social Security Benefits at 10 a.m. (Open to the public)

This is an educational and overview session to help married couples learn how to maximize their Social Security income. Presentation is hosted by Brendan Murray, president of Health & Wealth Inc. and host of Health & Wealth Radio.

April 22: Oral Health with Dr. Monti at 11 a.m. (Open to the public) 

This session is an overview of oral health and common concerns relating to dry mouth, gum disease, loss of taste, denture care, diabetes and oral health, proper home care.

April 28: Tobacco Management at 11 a.m. (BCBSRI members only)

Even if members are not ready to quit, this program will help to understand smoking as a complex behavior, review common triggers and provide a step-by-step plan to stop smoking.
