Vera M. (Lord) DeCotis, age 86, of West Bay Manor, West Shore Road, Warwick, and formerly of Holmes Road, Warwick, died on February 3, 2014, at Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Milton G. DeCotis.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George and Vera G. (Williams) Lord, she lived in Warwick for most of her life.
She is survived by two daughters: Shirley A. Eliason, of Warwick and Barbara J. Beauregard, of North Kingstown, a son, George M. DeCotis, of Cumberland; six grandchildren, Matthew Eliason, Michelle Beauregard, Lianne Beauregard, Brenna DeCotis, Justine DeCotis, and Timothy DeCotis; and a great-grandson, Cameron Eliason. She was the sister of the late Walter, George, Edward, and David Lord, and Muriel Carberry.
Her funeral was held on Thursday, February 6, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Relatives and friends were invited, visitation was at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
