Pilgrim High School senior Veronica Anderson is one of scores of students from across the region to share in $25,000 in scholarship money from Honey Dew Donuts franchise communities throughout New England
To be eligible, each student had to demonstrate academic excellence by maintaining a grade point average of B- or better, be accepted into a four-year accredited college or university, and participate in community service activities.

All scholarship winners and their parents were treated to a special Honey Dew Donuts breakfast, where Honey Dew Donuts Founder Richard Bowen will personally award the scholarships to the students. The winners received $250 scholarships. In addition, scholarship winners who attend the award ceremony were entered to win one of three additional scholarship awards in the amount of $500, $1,000 and $1,500.
