Veronica (Mahon) Watson, 89, of Warwick, formerly of Coventry, died peacefully December 4, 2011 at Pawtuxet Village Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William H. Watson.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John Mahon and Minnie (Jollie) Mahon. Mrs. Watson was employed as a secretary at the pharmacy of Kent Hospital for 30 years until her retirement. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of Christian Hill Community Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

She leaves her beloved son, David A. Watson Sr. and his wife, Nancy, of Warwick. She was the cherished grandmother of Leah, D.J., Olivia, Sean and Kara and great-grandmother of Nora and Ren. She was the sister of the late Ruth Wiggins, Mildred Camerano, Frances Riebe, Marjorie Ward, Jean Shaw and Jacqueline Cangiano.

Her funeral service will be held Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. in Christian Hill Community Church, 56 Tiogue Ave., West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
