Warwick Beacon

The city of Warwick celebrated Flag Day on Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly formed Warwick Veterans Service Organization at the JONAH Center in Oakland Beach. Thanks to the work of Councilwoman Camille Vella-Wilkinson; Timothy Howe, commander of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 9; and Anthony Paolino, CEO of Rhode Island Military Organization (RIMO), and continued support from City Council President Donna Travis and Mayor Scott Avedisian, the Center is now home to three non-profit organizations to advocate for and support veterans: Women Veterans of America, DAV and RIMO.
