To the Editor:
For the last 61 years, Aunt Elly has been a dutiful model citizen by contributing to the city of Warwick and being a responsible homeowner.
Not only has “Grammy Elly” single-handedly pulled her receptacles to the curb “through rain and snow and gloom of night,” she also religiously mowed her hilly lawn, raked mountains of leaves, in short – kept her lovely home in picture perfect shape.
This is a delightful ‘young lady’ (a lady never tells her age), who has, more importantly, also generously lavished her gifts of hospitality and love on friends, family and strangers alike for her entire life.
And, finally, in the wonderful winter land of her precious life, Aunt Elly is reaping her reward through the extraordinary kindness of one of the city of Warwick’s best, Mr. Vinnie Fava.
Not only did Mr. Fava facilitate Grammy’s trash pickup, he also followed through on a request to the Warwick Highway Department.
Each week now, Elly cannot wait for Vinnie’s arrival and, with giggles galore, shares how he waves goodbye as he beeps his horn in a joyful farewell all the way down the hill.
Thank you, Vinnie, for becoming Aunt Elly’s “man of excellence and grace,” and thank you, City of Warwick, for blessing our family with such an amazing gentleman.
