Violet A. “NuNu” (Regine) Major, 67, of Sargent Street, died surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Kent Hospital.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas M. and Alice J. (Brazenor) Regine. Violet worked at Warwick City Hall as a secretary in Mayor Scott Avedisian’s office and later in the City Clerk’s office searching titles and recording deeds. She was previously a department manager at Quill Pen, a manager at the Ground Round in Warwick and one of the first cake decorators for Gregg’s Restaurants.

She is being remembered as a very loving, generous and thoughtful person. She was devoted to her family and loved to plan family get togethers. Gardening and her yard were a big part of her life.

She is survived by two daughters: Lisa Morse & her husband, Alexander of Warwick and Michele Boisvert & her husband, Jeremy of Warwick; five grandchildren: Megan Spieler, Nicholas Morse, Alexander Morse and Zeke Morse all of Warwick and Miranda Reihl of CT; three great-grandchildren: Judah Reihl of CT, Gabe Spieler and Aidan Spieler both of Warwick, and one brother Nicholas Regine Jr. of NV. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Saunders, Frank Regine and Ralph Regine Sr.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 10:00 am at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
