Virginia L. (Tougas) Armenti

Virginia L. (Tougas) Armenti, age 82, of Wendell Road, Warwick, died at home on November 20, 2012. She was the wife of Matteo M. Armenti for 63 years.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Harry and Isabella A. (Sullivan) Tougas, she lived in Warwick since 1953. Mrs. Armenti was a member of St. Peter Parish in Warwick for many years. She was a wonderful mother and a devoted wife.

Besides her husband; she is survived by two daughters, Cynthia B. Aldrich and Lisa A. Armenti, both of Warwick, three sons, Joseph Armenti of North Providence, James Armenti and Matthew Armenti, both of Warwick; a brother, William Tougas of West Warwick; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Harry Tougas, Irene Sherman, Vincent Tougas, Marion Minett, Dorothy Cournoyer, and Edward Tougas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 26, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be private.
