Vito F. Russo, 82 of Warwick, formerly of Providence passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Marlene (Rossi) Russo.

Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Harry and Julia (Cavallo) Russo. Before retirement, Mr. Russo was employed with Carol Cable as a supervisor for many years. Mr. Russo was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and an avid NY Yankees fan. He was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.

He was the loving father of John F. Russo and his wife, Joanne of Wyoming, RI and Lisa A. Lizotte and her husband, Richard of West Warwick. Grandfather of Michael, Christopher and Anthony Russo and Richard Lizotte, Jr. He also leaves his faithful friend and companion, his dog Neina. Mr. Russo was the brother of the late Joseph, Albert, William, Michael, Ernest and Harry Russo, Jr., Mildred Aglialoro, Josephine Canzoneri and Madeline Shaw.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exteter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
