Vivian (Hedstrom) Ansaldi, formerly of Warwick, died February 7, 2012 following a brief illness. Her husband, Urban Ansaldi, died four months before her.
Vivian was the daughter of the late Olga and Eric Hedstrom. Vivian was a warm-hearted person who continued to welcome new people into her family throughout her life.
Vivian worked at the Providence Journal for 25 years. Following retirement, she enjoyed water aerobics with the Wet Cats, traveling with her husband and keeping in touch with her friends and family. She and her husband moved to Worcester in 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ansaldi and her husband, John Wilkes, of Worcester, Mass., six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Dr. Gary Ansaldi.
A memorial service for Vivian will be held March 24 at 1 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 90 Holden St., Worcester. People wishing to honor Vivian may want to consider a kindness to an animal in need.
