William L. Forand

William L. Forand, 86, of Viscount Road, died June 25, 2011 at Veterans Administration Hospital, West Roxbury, Mass. He was the husband of the late Joan (Kelley) Forand. He was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joseph and Annette (Hyde) Forand. Mr. Forand was an insurance salesman with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company before retiring. He was also the owner of the former Boulevard Meats in Pawtucket. He was a former communicant of Notre Dame Church in Central Falls and was a member of the Men’s Club. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 1, Central Falls. He leaves a daughter, Kathleen Doyon of Cumberland; four sons, William J. Forand of Florida, Richard L. Forand of Illinois, Michael P. Forand of Warwick and Roger J. Forand of East Providence; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. His funeral will be held June 29 at 9 a.m. from Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Martha Church, Pawtucket Ave. Calling hours are June 28 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
