WMOA celebrates women's history month

Beginning Monday and running through the end of March, the Warwick Museum of Art, in partnership with the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, will host “Celebrating Rhode Island Women in the Arts” in spirit of Women’s History Month.

The event, which promises to “Encourage, empower and facilitate female creativity,” will feature evenings of educational programming on March 15 and 22, including how to frame art, how to create an effective website and how to craft a press release, just to name a few. Also, anyone interested in seeing art by established and emerging female artists is welcome to attend the Artist Reception and juror’s show on March 8, which will showcase Rhode Island female artists.

Further, there is a “Drop-By-And-Try-Art” workshop on March 29 for those who wish to explore their creative sides.
