In addition to its annual Summer Art Camp for children, the Warwick Museum of Art will hold adult art classes, including drawing for beginners and watercolors for beginners, for participants aged 17 and older. Drawing for beginners will run for six weeks from May 21 to June 25 and meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students will learn to understand materials and construct drawings using line shape and form, while expressing themselves creatively. Adult watercolors for beginners will also run for six weeks from May 23 to June 27, meeting each Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants will be introduced to basic watercolor techniques, such as blending colors, creating compositions and creative expression with paint. Both classes, which will be taught by Bernadette Pace, an experienced instructor and highly regarded artist who exhibits regularly in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and Florida galleries, cost $125. Participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible, as five students are needed to start each class. Summer Art Camp for children will begin July 8 and continue through Aug. 16, with workshops in Acting, Drawing and Painting, Sculpture and Collage, Jewelry Making, and more. The cost per weeklong workshop is $80, while a full week of three workshops is $225.
