Walter F. Judd, 90, passed away November 25, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen A. (Souza) Judd.
He was a son of the late Walter F. and Laverne (Paradise) Judd, Sr. Mr. Judd served in the Merchant Marines before World War II and was a Navy veteran of World War II. After retiring as a truck driver for the Teamsters, he was a volunteer for West Bay Children’s Center, Warwick Homeless Shelter and the East Greenwich Odeum Theater. After losing his eyesight, he continued to volunteer for the Blind Veterans Association for the past 10 years.
Walter was the loving father of David F. Judd, Patricia A. Leavitt and Sandra M. Rosenberger and the late Dennis F. and Ronald F. Judd; devoted grandfather of Amy, Michael, Michelle, Amanda and Megan; great-grandfather of Emily, Sophia and Jake. He was the brother of Margaret Cabral, Peter Judd, and the late Eileen Walsh, John, William, Larry and Laverne Judd.
