To the Editor:
I am writing this letter to the people of Ward 1. I have been notified (9/29/12) of a flyer that was being passed around in Ward 1, with material bashing my opponent.
I am the Democratic candidate for Ward 1 and this is very upsetting that a person or group would do such a thing. I have not and will not be a part of this type of action. I do not condone such actions and wish that the parties responsible for this would please stop and/or come forward and identify themselves. Please do not use me for their selfish gain.

I received one of the flyers and was shocked to read that Councilman Coluntuano is entitled to lifetime healthcare for he and his family after serving only 6 yrs. Is this true.....that's the question.
I don't know his opponent Ahern but am dismayed that she is taking to task her possible constitutents for enlightening the public. That doesn't speak highly of Ahern. Is he just another political hack. What is her postion on Coluntuano's lifetime healthcare?
Ahearn appears to be another get along Avedisan wantabe .... the unions type of candidate. She not the answer.

So what does the flyer say? From the previous post a politican gets lifetime health-care for 6 years of service? Ms. Ahern is that true? If so where do you stand on that issue and why are you bashing tax payers for letting neighbors know that fact.
If the flyer is true why does it matter who sent it? Is this the way you are going to handle your duties if elected to the city council?
Stand up and tell me why I should vote for you. I'm not voting for Coluantono because he's all about himeself.

I have been a friend of and served in the Military with Sharon for over 28 years. She has nothing at all to do with this flyer; furthermore she would never stoop to that level. Her opponent - on the other hand - his workers are going on to people's property and removing Sharon's signs and replacing them with his - talk about violating people's privacy. I have lived in Ward 1 my entire life - and personally could always get in touch with my council person and to this day - I can't even tell you what his name is or what he even looks like. He has been the one riding on the Mayor's coat tail and has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the people of Ward 1 - its time once again for a change - get someone in there who will personally work for us - not just be a figurehead as whoever this person is that is in the office right now.
