The first meeting for the newly reinstated Warwick American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Community Group, a robust resource for information and events that will primarily focus on local issues that affect city residents 50 and older, is set for Thursday at 10:15 a.m. at the Pilgrim Senior Center Arts & Crafts Room.
The agenda will include a statewide AARP update, a discussion of the focus of the group and membership details, as well as community volunteer opportunities. The open forum format will allow for questions and comments. Refreshments will be served. Future meetings, which will take place monthly, will commence at various locations throughout the city to optimize greatest participation by residents.
