Deguilio           1

The winner of this contest earned a trip to the winner’s bracket finals. Both Deguilio and Brennan’s started their pitching aces to start this contest and neither disappointed. Brennan’s got on the board first. Chase Pariseau singled and advanced to second and third on consecutive passed balls. Kenny Rix drew a four-pitch, two-out walk and proceeded to steal second. Deguilio’s attempt to throw out Rix failed and Pariseau came home with the game’s first run.  Deguilio immediately tied the game in the second inning as Jared Reminder led off the inning with a solo home run.   Reminder’s home run would be the last run Brennan’s Noah Sullivan would give up.  Brennan’s Braces would take the lead for good in the fourth inning. Dom Brazeau and Chase Pariseau started the inning by working walks.  Rix then laced a single to right-center to drive in Brazeau and give Brennan’s the lead.  During the next at-bat, Rix would steal second to put two runners in scoring position. With one out, DJ Sollitto hit an infield single to drive in Pariseau. Rix and Sollitto would later score that inning to take a 5-1 lead; a lead that Sullivan would not relinquish.  Brennan’s added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth on an Aaron Narcavage walk, Brazeau double, Pariseau single, Rix triple and Joey Izzi single.

Noah Sullivan would go the distance, giving up one run, three hits and striking out seven.  Jared Reminder struck out nine batters in a solid effort.

Coastway ace Mike Borges would enter the game to pitch in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the tying run in scoring position, Borges induced a groundout to secure the one run victory and earn a trip to the finals.
