Warwick musician to open for national act

Warwick’s own singer-songwriter Tim Charron will be performing at JR’s Bourbon Street Rock House at Mardi Gras in Cranston Friday night and is looking forward to opening for Bret Michaels, lead singer of the rock band Poison, Sept. 23 at the Indian Ranch in Webster, Mass.

Charron will take the stage Friday night for two sets, the first beginning at 10 p.m. and the second starting at midnight. Charron, who the press has deemed “The Rock ‘n’ Roll Gypsy” because of his relentless drive, touring schedule and lack of a permanent home, has headlined his own gigs across the country and opened for country legends such as Charlie Daniels, Brooks & Dunn, Crystal Gayle, Marty Stuart and Clint Black. Recently, he opened for American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. For more information, visit timcharron.com.
