With corporate offices in Warwick, Wave Federal Credit Union has announced it will increase its presence in the Washington County area, moving its current Westerly office to a larger facility. The Credit Union has outgrown its existing site at 87A Main Street in downtown Westerly and will move to 2 Wilder Avenue. The location will offer drive-up and ATM access, full financial services, including a mortgage department, and generous parking. The move is expected to take place this fall.
Wave President Paul Archambault said, “We’ve been very pleased with our growth in the South County market since merging with Cottrell Federal Credit Union last year, and have spent some time researching an appropriate future home for our Westerly office. The Wilder Avenue site fits our needs very nicely with room to expand.”
Founded in 1938 as Narragansett Electric Employees Federal Credit Union, Wave Federal Credit Union has offices in Warwick, Westerly and Pawtucket, assets in excess of $114 million and nearly 8,500 members. Under its community charter, the Credit Union serves individuals and businesses located in Providence, Warwick, Pawtucket, Cranston, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, West Greenwich, West Warwick, Westerly, Charlestown and Coventry.
