We are Sam

They named me after a ‘turbulent troublemaker’

I am more than steaming knowledge encased in red bricks

With a pulsing heart where you slid down white hills

Arms raised in jubilation

Unfettered, while drafting our destiny

Slurping life while strolling down our throated halls

Just turn away, blighted now… devalued and empty,

but … for the public good & floating figures

My life-blood now drained, staring crowded out yellow windows

On our way to obscurity … all for the public good

Now shuttered, neglected, abandoned

Ah, but soon to be resurrected as a privately packaged paradise

all for the public good … and floating figures

While number crunches wink and shake hands

Where are the Mayday heroes?
