There’s no better story than a tale of a little guy who wins. Four uplifting films about underdogs who triumph at football, basketball, boxing and hockey will be shown at the Warwick Public Library on Wednesdays, Feb. 18 and 25 and March 4 and 11, at 7 p.m.

On Feb.18, see Rudy (1993), starring Sean Astin and Ned Beatty. The film tells the story of pint-sized Rudy Ruettiger and his dreams of playing football as a member of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish team.

On Feb. 25, watch Hoosiers (1986), starring Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper. Coach Norman Dale fights to get a small-town high school basketball team to the state championship.

On March 4, enjoy Rocky (1976), starring Sylvester Stallone and Talia Shire. Has-been boxer Rocky Balboa trains to fight champion Apollo Creed at a Fourth of July match.

On March 11, see Miracle (2004), starring Kurt Russell and Patricia Clarkson. Coach Herb Brooks leads a U.S. team of unknowns against the undefeated Soviet hockey team at the Olympics.
