Westbay Community Action seeks board member with accounting background

Westbay Community Action is seeking to recruit a board member who has a strong desire to serve the community and believes in the Westbay mission to “assist low income and disadvantaged residents to achieve and maintain economic self sufficiency.” 

This board member should have experience in budgets, finances and hold a Certified Public Accountant license, be 18 years of age and over, live or work in the Warwick, West Warwick or East Greenwich community, and be willing to serve a three-year term.  

The Board of Directors meets at 5 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month. It sets agency policies, including human resource, organization, fiscal and program. The Board establishes the overall program goals and priorities, approves funding requests and insures compliance with all contract provisions and laws.

Westbay Community Action, Inc. (Westbay) has served the people in Kent County for over 48 years. Westbay assists economically disadvantaged Kent County residents achieve and sustain self-sufficiency and stability. Annually Westbay serves over 9,700 households representing approximately 17,000 individuals.
