Through March and April, the Westbay Community Action’s Marketplace pantry will participate in the Annual Feinstein $100,000 Giveaway to Fight Hunger food drive and fundraising program.
The Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation will add a proportional contribution to monetary and canned food donations received by the Westbay Marketplace from now until the end of April. The more donations collected, the more the Foundation will contribute to Westbay Marketplace.
For those interested in contributing to this event, the Marketplace is in need of chicken soup, corned beef hash, oatmeal, peanut butter, grape jelly and canned vegetables, although all donations are accepted. The pantry is also asking for donations of clean and reusable plastic grocery bags to be used by families at the Marketplace.
For more information, call 732-4660 ext. 140. The Westbay Community Action’s Marketplace pantry is located at 211 Buttonwoods Avenue in Warwick.
