Western Cranston Garden Club honors Blue Moon Pub

Posted

The Blue Moon Pub at 42 Phenix Ave. in Cranston was the 2015 recipient of the Western Cranston Garden Club’s Civic Beautification Award. This award is given each year to local businesses in the Cranston area by a vote from the club’s 47 active members. The club’s criteria are to look for exterior displays of color and design used either in a garden setting or plant containers that beautify and enhance the community. On Oct. 30, co-presidents Linda Alves and Sharron Casey and the civic beautification chairwomen Sally-Ann Brown and Ketty Senerchia presented Blue Moon owners Steve Pratt and Nick Saccoccia and their floral and garden designer, Sharon Thorpe, with a framed certificate of recognition. Their pergola at the entrance way had an outstanding array of colorful flowers and foliage displayed for all to view and enjoy while dining. (Photo by Pat Yearwood)
