When Pawtuxet Village history comes alive

A historic walking tour of Pawtuxet Village, an annual tradition filled with civic pride, was hosted Saturday by the students and PTA of E.T. Wyman Elementary. With the support of students from Aldrich Junior High, Pilgrim High and St. Peter Tri-Parish School, more than 50 students assumed costumed roles of documented residents from Pawtuxet’s colonial past. Celebrating its 15th year, participants in the guided tour stopped at more than 15 points of interest throughout the village where well-rehearsed students in period costumes presented historical facts and folklore using skits to portray villagers.
