William C. Curran

William C. Curran, age 68, of Millis, Massachusetts since 1977, died on February 21, 2014 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Starr) Curran.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of Ruth I. (Graves) Curran of Warwick and the late Charles F. Curran Jr. Bill was a 1963 graduate of LaSalle Academy in Providence and Norwich University with the class of 1967 where he was a small college All-American swimmer. He was a recent inductee into the Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame. After completing his education he proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Lieutenant serving in Freiburg, Germany and Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a long time member of the investment profession in the Boston area as an employee of Merrill Lynch and later Dain Rauscher. He enjoyed golf, was a long time member of the Franklin Country Club, and was an avid basketball fan. He was a former counselor and board member of YMCA Camp Fuller in Wakefield, RI and YMCA Camp Jewell of Colebrook, Connecticut.

Besides his wife of 39 years, Suzanne (Starr) Curran, he is survived by a son, David S. Curran and his wife, Patricia of Weymouth, Mass. and a daughter, Carolyn A. Curran of Millis, Mass.; a sister, Marie Glass of Hope Valley, a brother David Curran and his wife, Nancy of Warwick; and many nephews and nieces.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday evening, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve Street, Millis, Mass. Visiting hours will preceed that from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. There will be graveside services with Military Honors on Thursday morning, February 27th at 11:30 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis.
