William D. Gornostai, 74, passed away October 27, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene C. (Patry) Gornostai for 52 years.
He was a son of the late William and Susan (McDonald) Gornostai. Mr. Gornostai was employed as an electronic technician for the former Contact Mobile and Paging and served in the RI Air National Guard. Bill will be remembered for his devotion to his family, fighting spirit and unique sense of humor.
He is survived by three children: Christine Cole, Patricia Liese and William Gornostai; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Michael Gornostai.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation will be Thursday 9-10 a.m.
