William E. Hall, 92, of Woodland Drive, Coventry, formerly of Morse Avenue, Warwick, died April 5, 2012 at Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. He was the husband of Ruth A. Hall and the late Bernadette M. (Boutin) Hall.
Born in Bay Mills Township, Mich., a son of the late William S. and Emma (Dreyer) Hall, he lived in Warwick for 63 years before moving to Coventry in October 2004. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Mr. Hall was employed at United Wire in Cranston for 32 years before retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Co. in Warwick and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, William O. Hall of Largo, Fla.; two grandchildren, William J. Hall and Patricia A. Gourley; and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Sidney Hall and Leila O. McGinn.
His funeral service will be held April 14 at 9:30 a.m. in Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visiting hours are April 13 from 5-7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
