William J. “Bill” Parker, 66, passed away October 23, 2015.

Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late John and Cecilia (Walsh) Parker and was raised in Warwick. Bill was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School, class of 1966, and a Navy veteran, where he served as a Deep-sea diver and was honorably discharged in 1970. He received his BS from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1971 and spent his life captaining oil tankers all over the world.

Bill moved with his former wife, Marna Parker, to Florida in 1983 where they raised their sons, Ian and Shane Parker. The last ten years he was working in New Orleans for Houston Marine as a Master Maritime Instructor. He was the brother of the late John “Jack” Parker.

A service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Cemetery, 202 Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket.
