William J. Xavier, Jr., 94, of Warwick died May 30, 2015 at the Sunny View Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Marzella) Xavier.

Born in Warwick on December 26, 1920, a son of the late William J., Sr. and Mary (Marria) Xavier, he was a lifelong resident of Warwick. A Tool and Die Maker, Mr. Xavier was employed by B.I.F. Industries, Inc. for 33 years retiring in 1983. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. A communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was predeceased by his brothers: John and Edward Xavier. Mr. Xavier leaves his nephews and nieces: John W. Xavier (Ann), Robert Xavier (Donna) and John Durso (Nancy); and grandnephews and grandnieces: John, Sarah, William, Joseph, Elizabeth, Rachel, Melissa, Jillian and Jonathan.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick (Exit 12-A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 a.m.-9:15 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
