William L. Ducharme Sr., 86, of Warwick, died July,25,2013 at Kent hospital. He was the beloved husband of Martha (Giovine) Durcharme.
Mr. Ducharme was born in Providence a son of the late William J. & Loretta (Lombardi) Ducharme.
William, was a Master Cable Splicer for the former Narragansett Electric Company now National Grid for over 45 years, before retiring in 1990. He was a Warwick resident since 1951, a veteran of World War II serving in the United Statea Coast Guard. Mr. Ducharme was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Manchester Lodge F &AM, a member of the American Legion Wm. Shields Post, a member of the Sons of Italy Mazzi Lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his devoted sons Alfred M. Ducharme and his wife, Claire of Debary Florida, and William L. Ducharme and his wife, Mary Jo of Royal Palm Beach Florida; a sister Cecile Berardis of Warwick. He was the grandfather of five; and the great-grandfather of four. Mr. Ducharme was the brother of the late Peter Ducharme.
His funeral will be held Tuesday July 30 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., (exit 12A on I–95) Warwick, RI, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church 3250 Post Road, Warwick RI, burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
