William M. Floskis

William M. Floskis, 89, passed away June 26, 2015, surrounded by his wife Maryanna and his son Teddy.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Samos) FloskisWilliam. He was a Marine Corp. veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the Defense Logistics Agency of the Dept. of Defense for 37 years before retiring. A member of the Overseas Lodge, William was a Mason for over 50 years. He was an active member of his church and was awarded the St. Paul Medal.

William was the beloved husband of Maryanna (Fotopoulos) Floskis; father of Theodore W. Floskis, “Teddy,” and grandfather of Martin. William is also survived by his dear family friend Billy.

His funeral will be held Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Annunciation, Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Ave, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
