According to police, the suspect is seen on surveillance video throwing a large rock through the front window of two businesses and entering while carrying a crowbar.

Window smashed, cash stolen in Cranston break-in

Cranston police are attempting to identify a suspect who broke into the Subway restaurant and V.I.P. Nails at 300 Park Ave. early Thursday morning.
According to police, the suspect is seen on surveillance video throwing a large rock through the front window of the businesses and entering while carrying a crowbar. The suspect then obtained several hundred dollars from the Subway and exited through the front door.
The suspect is described as standing approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. At the time of the crime the suspect wore dark clothing, a mask and gloves.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect or their whereabouts to call 401-942-2211, ext. 5065. Detective Joseph Hopkins is investigating the case.
