A bright future
Appropriately, there wasn’t a cloud as a ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday morning at the offices of eNow off Airport Road. Founded in 2011, eNow has developed solar panels that, when mounted on trailer trucks, provide sufficient energy to power air conditioning, lights, refrigeration and other accessories while saving fuel. Both Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Mayor Scott Avedisian spoke about how the innovations coming from eNow could power job development, produce clean energy and be the start of a national, and eventually, a global business. Here, Mayor Avedisian and Senator Whitehouse are joined by eNow representatives, and city and state officials for the ribbon cutting. At right, eNow President and CEO Jeff Flath talks about the solar panels that are the heart of the system.
