The Ocean State Pops Orchestra will present a musical celebration of the holiday season, A Light Shines in the Darkness: The Concert of Hope, to benefit the Hope Alzheimer’s Center Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Kevin Church on Sandy Lane.
Under the direction of Dr. Brian Cardany of URI, the 60-piece orchestra invites you to experience the joyful celebration of Christmas and the holidays though music and altruism. Featuring talented soloist, Marissa DiBiase, the orchestra will perform a variety of inspirational seasonal selections, from reflective to jubilant. Plus, there’ll be ample audience sing-alongs to favorite carols.
The Hope Alzheimer’s Center in Cranston provides day programs and care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of cognitive impairment.
The Ocean State Pops Orchestra is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to enhancing cultural vitality and quality of life in the community through high-quality performances of great music. Furthermore, the Orchestra is committed to furthering the public’s knowledge and understanding of orchestral music, providing educational opportunities for talented musicians and vocalists, and doing good by giving back.
