A warming gift
Hoxsie School students made 600 scarves for the students of Sandy Hook School as a gesture of their concern and warm thoughts under a program initiated by 5th grade teacher Kathy Curtis. A cousin of Curtis’ is the granddaughter of a Sandy Hook student, who fortunately was not hurt in the school shooting. Curtis praised the generosity of the school community that raised $500, which was supplemented with a Feinstein contribution, to buy material for the scarves. Seen here with the scarves they made is the 6th grade class of Susan Houle.
