Alan David Ashworth, 70, of Warwick, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Clarence and Marion (Lloyd) Ashworth. He was the beloved husband of Debra L. (Tillman) Ashworth and the late Diane M. (Hennigan) Ashworth.
Alan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of New England Tech and went on to work as a maintenance technician for Bryant University. He also worked for Amtrol Inc. and as an independent contractor. He was active in the Boy Scouts with his children and served as Scoutmaster of Troop #2 of Warwick.
In addition to his loving wife, Alan is survived by his beloved children, Timothy D. Ashworth of Coventry, Brian M. Ashworth and his wife Lori of Windham, NH, Brittany L. Ryan and her husband Michael of West Greenwich, a brother, Robert Ashworth and his wife Linda of Mystic, CT, a sister, Karen Chateauneuf, and eight grandchildren.
His funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Urquhart Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick. Interment took place at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
