Allegiant announced this week a new nonstop route to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) from T.F Green Airport (PVD) beginning June 5. To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares on the new route as low as $55. Allegiant will be using an Airbus A-320s for this route – half of which are configured with 177 seats and half with 186 seats.

“We are proud to offer our Providence-area travelers with new service to a highly sought-after Allegiant destination,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “Known for its beautiful beaches, we are sure that travelers will enjoy our nonstop, ultra-low-cost flights.”

The new seasonal route via T.F Green Airport (PVD) will operate twice weekly. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

“We’re thrilled that Allegiant has chosen to offer new, nonstop flights between Rhode Island and Myrtle Beach,” Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation said in a statement. “We expect this new route will appeal to those in South Carolina seeking an easy and affordable gateway to the Providence/Boston region and all of New England, and provides yet another popular destination for residents of Southern New England.”

Allegiant offers a unique option to Providence-area travelers with low base airfare and savings on rental cars and hotels. Travelers can book their entire vacation with Allegiant for less.
