Angelo “Angie the Barber” Rotondo


Angelo “Angie the Barber” Rotondo, 86, of Ocoee, Florida, passed peacefully on July 22, 2012.

Born in North Providence, RI, the son of the late Alfred and Josephine Rotondo. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and a long-time resident and business owner of Warwick, RI.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Rose (Simione), whom he cherished; his beloved children, Ilene MacNeil, Josie Rotondo, Angela and Steven Sampaio, and Angelo and Donna Rotondo. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren who held him with the utmost love and respect; and the proud great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren ranging in age from eleven to one year, who where just beginning to truly appreciate the man he was. He was the brother of Gloria Bellino, and the late Joseph and Henry Rotondo; and father-in-law of the late William T. MacNeil.

Family and friends are invited to attend a brief service at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, in Exeter, RI on Saturday at 11a.m. Please assemble outside the Administration Building promptly at 10:45 a.m. to be escorted to the Columbarium Chapel.
